SO the job search begins.....
This is not fun, I would rather watch 90210 all day.
So far, I sent my resume to ONE place, the seniors home where my zeidi lived. They are looking for a recreation director.
In the meantime, someone just hired me to make a scrapbook for them!

Im going back to the hairdresser now, because I need help with my bangs!

I GOT BANGS!

I can't believe this. I have not had bangs in 15 years. I went to get a haircut today, and she said: do you want bangs. I said no. She later said, do you want bangs, I said no. How could I have bangs! I have curly hair. Then I thought, why not. I have nothing else exciting going on. So I did it.
The bangs are straight, the hair is curly. I have no idea if this is a style!

Did something productive!

I did something productive today! I went to school and had an appointment with someone who helps write resumes. There was this whole big office devoted to helping students: career placement, health services...... Who knew????? After 4 years at Concordia, I never took advantage of any of it! I met with a guy named Ryan, he was very very nice and helpful. I said I was embarrassed to not have known about the FREE services, he said not many people do.
He helped me fix up my resume, he said it looks good and im on the right path!
Now all I have to do is hand it out........ hmmmm

Weekend up North

Besides feeling bloated all weekend, we had a good time up north. We snowshoed a bit, jumped off the balcony, and made the best snowman that we can. (next week we will make a bigger one!)
Sunday late afternoon, my parents went back home, and we watched about 5 hours of 24.

moving day

SC is in the process of moving, and boy is it a job!
Tomorrow will be a long day, as we plan to open on Friday. We got new shelving for the paper, each plastic shelf has to be unwrapped and hooked on to the wall. (we have thousands of paper)
Things are still in boxes, but so far we still have lots of room for new stuff. Everyday now we will get new products....
I cant wait to see them! Im glad im working all these extra hours, $$$

My beautiful car was on empty today, it cost me 61.88$ to fill up! How crazy is that. My dad drove it to the gas station, I wanted him to make sure it isn't going to blow up, its been driving very bouncy lately. He says its as good as new! I love my Buick Regal 1992, given to me by the best grandpa in the world!

Avocado Avocado

Tonight since we are snowed in, mom and I were alone for dinner.
We had bagels, cream cheese and lox, and I had the genius idea to add avocado to it, just like in the sushi rolls. Was delicious!
My brother loves avocado, too bad he does not eat cream cheese or lox. :)

Today at work everything was 50% off because of the big move, it was a zoo! My feet hurt so much by 5 oclock. Then in took me 20 minutes to clean my car, every time I finished one section, I had to redo it! Driving home I couldnt see more than 4 feet in front of me.

My dad was supposed to come home from florida friday night, he has been stuck in Ohio ever since. He is currently living in the airport, he has a cot. All flights are canceled.

So happy last night

So last night, I decided to do something that I didnt let myself do for over 1 year.
I watched the series finale of 90210. and it was soooo good! I still can not believe it has been 8 years since its off the air! Seems like only yesterday I cried myself to sleep on May 17 2000.
Since it went off the air, I have done 2 complete runs of all 296 episodes. But that was a while ago, now I only watch it when the dvds come out. So far 1-2-3 are out, and 4 comes out in April.
In the last few months, Ive been very caught up in my OC dvds, which are fantastic, but just don't compare.

No more internship!

All done! no more internship! Today there was a going away party for me. So nice! There sandwiches and vegetbales and dip, and a cake. I even got a few gifts and everyone signed a card. Jon left work and came for a bit, and now my mom is furious that she didn't come. I told her I didn't think it was so important that she take off work.
As for some bad news, I went to Costco to pick up my underwater cameras, and one of them didnt come out! Im so mad! Its the one that I bought there, that was 3 times the price of my walmart one. For some reason the pictures are all grey. On the other one, there are only a few good ones. No one will believe that I saw a gigantic turtle!

Typical afternoon with two 90 year olds

Oh boy.
Since my grandfather stopped driving, they need us to take them out as much as possible.
Today mom and I decided to take them to lunch, I think we almost killed them!
We thought it would be nice to go somewhere different, so we went to Arahova on Queen Mary. They have a nice breakfast there.
So we arrive, find parallel parking right in front. Except...between the road and the sidewalk is a mountain of snow. Imagine a 92 year old man with a walker trying to get through this! Not fun!
SO we sit down to eat, service was very slow. During the one hour meal, my grandfather had to dizzy spells where he blacks out, and my grandmother had a choking fit.
My mom thought it would be a good idea to move the car to the corner where there was snow. So I take the two of them outside, walker and all, and go to the corner. Of course, there is a foot deep puddle, and they had to walk over another snowbank!!!
